Storm Jameson Court is a hotel-style residence, built in 2010 to a very high standard, and rated as 4 star by VisitEngland. The building is at the heart of the main campus, close to the city centre. The impressive foyer has a 24 hour reception, games room and a large-screen TV.
The en suite bedrooms (showers) offer junior double beds for single occupancy. However, should you require double occupancy, then please contact us. Another feature is shared use of a TV kitchen/lounge area. Guests enjoy free broadband Internet access.
The building also carries the highest possible accreditation under all categories of the National Accessible Scheme (NAS), with 20 fully accessible bedrooms, and the Gold award for Sustainable Green Tourism.
Food and Drinks
The bedrooms are sold on a room-only basis (equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities), but a wide range of self-serve breakfast fare is available for purchase from the University Refectory, just 100 metres from Storm Jameson Court.
For groups above 5 guests, we can deliver a packed breakfast into the kitchen closest to your bedroom. For groups above 20 in number, we can arrange a private cooked breakfast nearby. Please request this in the Additional Information section.
The nearby Faversham Arms pub serves lunches and evening meals and a 10 minute walk will take you to restaurants, bars and pubs in Leeds city centre.
Grounds and gardens
Storm Jameson Court is sited on the attractive and historic campus of the University of Leeds. The campus has many fine buildings, from the wonderful Victorian Great Hall, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and the art deco Parkinson Building to the contemporary Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building.
The grounds of the University are open for guests to stroll around and enjoy tree-fringed piazzas and avenues, or to relax by the fountains at the southern end of the campus by the Roger Stevens Building.
The University campus has many fully accessible routes to all areas, with ramps and automatic or electric doors to buildings.
Other facilities
FREE Internet access.
The Edge, nearby, has a swimming pool with sauna and steam room, plus a large fitness suite, and squash facilities. These are available to guests, and payable on entry.
There is limited parking on site, which is available on a first come, first served basis, at a charge of £5.00 per 24 hours. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pre-book this parking. To use this car park, please go to the University's main entrance, by the Parkinson Building on Woodhouse Lane LS2 9JT. Should this be unavailable, there is a large NCP multi-storey car park also on Woodhouse Lane.
